Hanging Speakers
An organic hanging speaker exploring proportions and unconventional speaker design.
This was my first project at KADK. We were working with proportions and I chose to look at speakers.
I wanted to make a speaker that didn't have to stand on the floor and be a box as speakers usually do. So I made an organic hanging speaker where its three circles are in proportions — the smallest circle is to the medium circle as the medium circle is to the biggest circle.
The cocoon-like form creates a unique visual presence that doubles as a decorative element while delivering sound from above.
